Dear Nabeel , i have applied for the 2009-2010 Fulbright scholarship, and i wanted to know what was your score in GRE ,both in QUANT & Verbal. As you successfully got the scholarship, your score will give me and everyone else a fair idea of the type of score Fulbright accepts.
Regards
Ammad,
GRE score is not a good criteria to consider if you would be selected for Fulbright or not. I have seen people with 1050+ score being accepted for Fulbright. Others with 1400+ score weren’t able to get it.
Ofcoure the better score you have the better chances you will have to get an interview call for Fulbright.
Younas
i have one my masters in international relations and i have topped in my university and i want to know how to applyfor that please tell me soon so i can apply on time
tell me please how to apply for the schorship and i have done my masters in IR with tp positions
Tell me something…
is it a rule that a Paksitani cannot marry a dual passport holder (pakistan + USA)
or is it that a Pakistani cannot hold an american passport while alloted the fulbright…
which means the particual Paksitani CAN marry a US citizen and not break the fulbright contract as long as he sticks to his Paksitani passport and does not apply for the US passport(doesnt become a US passport holder himself)
He can marry anyone but he won’t be able to apply for US citizenship unless he spends two years in Pakistan
Do you work for USEFP Muhammad Younas?

They have started the interviews.I think they must be sumwhere in da midway..i had my interview last week.now keeping my fingers crossed for the results!!did any1 else also had the experience? What are the chances for success in the interview? My subject is a bit new for USEFP and i am sure for IIE as well!!i dont know if i was able to make them understand its importance or not!!!!!
sir,
how to apply for scholarship.
sir,
how to apply for scholarship
when the hell r they going to announce the final candidates?
Does anyone know whether Fulbright facilitates taking a spouse along for the P.hD scholarship? If a candidate does not have funds sufficient to support a spouse in the States on own, should he consider Fulbright?
Arjun:
USAEF will pay only for your tuition and residence along with a monthly allowance of around $1500( considering you do get the fullbright)
They will not pay fro your spouse’s needs. They will allow you to take your spouse along as long as you can prove to the imigration officers(at time of visa) that you have enough funds to support her. If that doesn’t happen, they wont give your spouse the visa.
i still suggest you apply for the scholorship. future can change, a new policy might come up or you just might get lucky or obtain enough funds. apply anyways, there is no harm in that.
best of luck.
well i am still unable to understand what actually makes them to select a student with 1050+ in GRE and reject a person with 1400+ plus…
what a person must care for in order to avoid the possibility of being drop out of the race for the scholorship???
