Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan
The Government of NWFP has established Abdul Wali Khan University at Mardan through a Governors’ Ordinance to be first university in District Mardan, which is the second most popolous city in NWFP.
Initially, Government Post Graduate College for Men and Government Post Graduate College for Women are declared as constituent units of Abdul Wali Khan University and subsequently main campus will be established on land of around 5000 near Motorway M-I .
The University will initially offer degree programmes through following teaching departments
Establishment of this university will be helpful in providing higher education facilities to students of Mardan District and will pave for socio-economic uplfit of the community.

I m not against students we are poor people we belong to same society, cuz, if we belonged to upper class we will read in USA,Europe etc or even in Pakistan in LUMS, GIK etc, but we can only think about these institutes, can’t access. Dear Anila! i m against the system i m an engineer doing PhD still i m jobless coz my father is not a landlord , cuz i have not enough resources to put myself in govt family, we are just like the worms of drains or small fishes which are on the mercy and will of Big fishes or white elephants, which ruining us beneath their heavy feet while we can not see them , they are hidden in unvisitable cloths of wealth,Approaches and corruption. See in your own institute and keep the correct people at the correct place i m sure that your calculation respond you Zero. I want to bring a revolution, where any one who has the talant, who has determination, who has the right, can get the right place. Sorry once again but i can’t bear these awkwardness. I love Mardan but when I come to Mardan in my vacations, everybody tells me be carefull so that you are not killed or kidnaped. After too much hardwork abroad, we want to see the streets/markets and beauty of our city Mardan but we are scared.
I see the string of emotional comments from ladies (may be girls)and men (may be boys and students) and feel that we know what our problems are but we enjoy living with those problems. The string of comments and replies seem to be from people who are vulgar. I see how these girls and boys-being students, communicate.
Universities and studies cannot make you good unless and until you stick yourself to your belief and religion and your customs. We had been also in universities but at that time we were not too much overwhelmed by todays modernization attitudes.
We have a very rich culture of Pakhtoons and a very strategic religion Islam which now we are loosing both due to modernization and extremism terminology created by our enemies in history.
I also put a note that it is not a great job Hoti brought univeristy here. It is the least he did.
We need peace and we need our city a beautiful location with beautiful people who love each other while being good Muslims and not moderen.
I will visit this university when I come to Pakistan in December-2011.
I apologise if my statement has hurt any body’s heart. We are abroad because we fear from people and system there which is controlled by some who we do not know who these are.
Love Mardan too much and happy that I come across this page. May be I will not be able to see this apge again as it come to me by chance while searching for streets of Mardan.
My advice to all of you is work hard so that we can design our future, our industry,our land and our culture and not the others design it for us. We should keep ourselves from corruption in morality and economics.

we are extremly unlucky being a student of mathematics in AWKUM that our new chairperson is involved in cheeting case of Plagiarism, i read it in Mushriq news paper, the vicechancellor must take action against him.
