UK visa delay
I have had my visa application approved and I had submitted my passport with all the relevant documents. It has almost been 3 months now since the date of submission, and my classes of ACCA in the UK are due to start in the next 4 week. I have tried everything from calling jerry’s in Islamabad, emailing them and even visiting them, but to no avail. I have no idea and I am extremely confused, if there is anyone out there who can advice me on what action I should take to resolve this headache I would be extremely grateful to you.
thanks

How come do you know if ur visa application is approved ??
from last 2 years in 99% cases Uk and canadian embassy use to return passport 3-4 days back only..
may be just because they done want us to go thr before classes and start work or some thing ..

Dear guys.I have submited my application for student visa on 6th may 2009 and its been more than 3 months i have not recieve any reply form bhc.I am very much worried plz give me some good advice…….Thanks
I am really worried because i haven’t got any responses from BHC. I had applied from Nepal and its been 31 days hadn’t got any responses yet. My visit is very important and is top urgent because my friend who is waiting is hospitalised now. Why is BHC doing this to me and to you guyz, the classes start date is about to pass. I am amazed that BHC have no proper system or don’t they check the visa letters and the last date of enrolment. Guyz please help me if you have any updates.
look guys, until and unless our government do not come on the wright track and stop begging these white people we are going to suffer all this, look our students were arrested in uk crimeless, they were completely innocent but all the students sufferd even some were deported and our government was watching all this politely and didn’t say any thing,
so guyz, don’t be dissappoint coz we have to suffer more and more so keeo ur selves ready for all thz things until our shameless government is gone.
sorry for this but I think this is all wat is reality.
Please give me information about course and college and university which is approved from BHC and also doing a curse of MBA in IT. thanks
i m waiting your reply

W. Shah Says:
Delay in British visas
I have been reading stories in different newspapers about visa delays by British High Commission Islamabad and UK Home Secretary Alan Johnson has meet President Zardari and PM Yusuf Raza Gilani and this issue been raised by them. However one is dismayed to note that they have been mostly talking about students visa and business visas etc.
I just want to appeal to British High Commission and Mr Alan Johnson Home Sectary UK that there are some other type as well, such as settlement visa and allowed appeal cases etc.
We are victim of these delays as well. Our appeals have been allowed by Asylum and Immigration Tribunal UK. Many people are waiting for so many months for a call and some are waiting for their passport back. I am victim of this process as well I have re submitted my passport and it was 3 months ago. There are people in worse condition too. I know some people who have been waiting for more then 6 months without a reply. We are away from our families and partners for a long time as it took more than a year for appeal. It is indefensible for the British High Commission to take so long just to stamp a visa.
And more worrisome is that there is no time frame for such of cases. If we call Gerry’s they say time frame is INDEFINITE which is totally unfair. This inordinate delay has even broken many marriages. There are some unfortunate persons who in accordance with requirements of law submitted TB certificate with their applications. If six months elapse the application is liable to be returned for a fresh TB certificate which is very bothersome. This is absolutely unfair.
It is good to learn that the British High Commission has a mind to clear the backlog. I am sure the authorities in British High Commission will take a compassionate view of all visa cases.
