Commission to introduce new exam system
On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, an examination commission has been set up to introduce new examination system for primary and middle standards.
Punjab Examination Commission has been given the task to conduct primary and middle examinations of more than 2.3 million students, it has been learnt. Under the new examination system, computerised marking of papers would be carried out. The Punjab examination commission would deploy 3,000 inspectors at examination centres. All students of government and Punjab education foundation would be bound to appear in both examinations. The students of registered private primary secondary and higher secondary educational institutes would also participate in both examinations. Those students who will not take part in the examination would not be allowed admission in government educational institutes at class 6th and 9th.
The examination of primary and middle standard under Punjab examination commission would be held in first and second week of February 2010 respectively while result would be announced by March 31.
