We realize the importance of strengthening and developing human resource. Our key focus lies in education, which Shell Pakistan has been keenly supporting in a number of ways.
Shell Pakistan’s Scholarship program will fund the education of students annually for degrees in Engineering and Business Studies. The Shell Scholarship program will enable deserving youth to seek higher education from the premium institutions in the nation and give back to society.
Basic Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should fulfill the below-mentioned criteria at the time of application:
· Applicant should be 35 years of age or less,
· Applicant must be Pakistani citizen and permanent residents,
· Applicants must possess marks above 70 % throughout their entire academic careers (SSC & HSC or equivalent),
Scholarships are only applicable to students who have been successfully admitted into the Fall 2009 session.
· Applicants, academic results must have been officially announced and they must be in possession of their transcripts,
· Applicant’s monthly family income must be less than PKR. 40,000/-
· Applicants must NOT be current or former employees of Shell Pakistan, or any of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies
The Shell Scholarship Program covers the following institutions ONLY:
- Institute of Business Administration, IBA, Karachi & Sukkur
- Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi
- Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore
- Lahore School of Economics (LSE), Lahore
- University of Karachi , Karachi
- SZABIST, Karachi
Engineering Schools
- University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore
- NED University of Science & Technology, Karachi
- Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI)
- National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST)
Fields of Study covered under the SHELL Scholarship:
Business Administration,
Engineering, (Mechanical, Electrical and Material Engineering only)
Degrees covered under the SHELL Scholarship :
BBA, BE, BSc Engineering, MS, MBA
Duration/ Details of Scholarship:
- Each scholarship will cover tuition, and accommodation cost for the scholarship holder only,
- The scholarship is renewable after successful completion of each semesters,
- The scholarships covers the entire duration of the study program (02/04 years, as the case may be), provided that students achieve cumulative GPA of 70% and above throughout their entire academic career.
- Short listing will be done on the basis of the financial need and merit of the applicant,
- The Selection Committee’s decision will be final and conclusive.
To Apply for the Shell Scholarship
Contact your universities Financial Aid office. All applicants must be full-time students enrolled in one of the 10 universities listed above.
- Download the Application form.
- Fill it in block letters, attach all required documents.
- Submit it to your financial aid office in your respective Universities and Colleges.
- Submit last date is 30th August 2009, After this date no applications received from your end or your financial aid office would be entertain.
- Candidates who are selected for the Shell Scholarship Program will be contacted by their university financial aid office.
