Our research interests span seven key areas: Wireless Sensor Networks, Optical Communications, Design Methodologies & Rapid Prototyping, Next Generation Networks, Bio-inspired Advanced IT, Automotive Systems, and Low Power Mobile Architecture. Faculty members, researchers and graduate students are from a diverse and international background with an excellent repertoire. CAST is seeking highly motivated PhDs, both fresh and experienced, in the field of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. We are looking for researchers with interest in but not limited to the above mentioned areas. We have position for up to 20 PhDs and applications will be solicited until these posts are filled.
The ideal candidates will be researchers willing to work in a dynamic environment, where they can join existing R&D projects or initiate new ones. They should be prepared to make novel contribution to their field of interest. CAST is still a relatively new research center and hence provides an excellent opportunity for researchers with vision and initiative.

Requirements
PhD degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Applicants who will be completing their doctorates in the next six months are also encouraged to apply.

Excellent problem solver with self-initiative.
Well focused and dedicated.
Able to communicate technically in areas outside field of expertise.
Willing to mentor fresh researchers.
Fluency in spoken and written English is also required
