Management Team

Mariam Azeez is a graduate of University of Oxford where she completed her Masters degree in Financial Economics. She did her Bachelors in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). She graduated with distinction and was placed on the Deans Honor List on her graduation.

Mariam is an entrepreneur and has successfully run her online business of Bags (http://mybags.zoomshare.com). She has also helped a number of students in their GRE, GMAT, SAT and Toefl preparation. Mariam Azeez founded pkstudent.com along with Arfeen Godil and Aman Pervaiz.

Arfeen Godil is currently working on his MBA from Southern Methodist University, specializing in corporate strategy. He has been working as a software engineer for the last three years at a health care firm based in Dallas, Texas. Arfeen graduated Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2005.

Aman Pervaiz completed his Masters in Computer Engineering from University of Texas at Austin. Aman has previously interned with IBM, Raleigh and is now working as a Software Design Engineer with Microsoft, Seattle. Aman graduated from Lahore University of Management Sciences with Computer Engineering Degree. Aman led the team who won 1st position in IEDCS’04 and 2nd position in IEDCS’05. Aman has also co-authored three international publications.

Voluntary Consultants

Zeeshan-ul-Hassan Usmani is a Fulbright Scholar. He holds a M.S. in Computer Science and is currently working towards his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Florida Institute of Technology. As part of his Master’s thesis, Zeeshan developed a simulation of supermarkets to observe and quantify the effects of herd behavior on impulse shopping by customers. His work has been mentioned in MIT’s Technology Review and The Economist. Zeeshan has authored dozens of articles and three books. He is the chief editor of the Fulbright book series. Zeeshan’s strengths include real-world simulation, programming, human emergent behaviors and modeling of catastrophic events.

Jehanzeb Abbas completed his MS in Computer Science from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA on the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. There he also worked as a research graduate at the Beckman Institute of Advanced Science and Technology, UIUC. Prior to this he graduated at the top of his class with a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from GIK Institute, Pakistan. He has also worked for some multinational companies including IBM(california), Unilever, Standard Chartered Bank.

Imran Zaheer started his career in Electrical Engineering from The university of Arizona, Tucson, USA. After two years he transferred to Southern Illinois University Carbondale, USA and completed his BE in Electrical Engineering. He was on the Deans list in the college of engineering in his last final years. He was also an active member of PSA (Pakistan student association) and MSA (Muslim Student association) both in U of A and SIU Carbondale.  He has also worked as a TA in his university and also worked as a Sales engineer in a reputable firm in Kuwait.

Nabeel Akhtar completed his Master in Computer Science (CS) with a concentration in Networks from University of Southern California (USC) where he studied on the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. He holds a BSc(hons) from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Nabeel is currently working in R&D division of a telecommunication firm based in San Diego, CA.

Danish Khaliq has recently graduated from Columbia University where he has been pursuing a Masters degree in Operations Research as a Fulbright Scholar. He holds a bachelors degree in Mathematics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He has experience working in the Oil and Gas sector in Pakistan, mainly working for BP and ENI. Currently he is starting off his career as a Management Consultant and plans on moving towards Social Entrepreneurship in the near future.

Mudassar Riaz is currently working as a Senior Radio Network Optimization Engineer at Ericsson Pakistan in the Network and Technology Consultancy Division . Mudassar Riaz holds a Masters in Telecommunication Engineering from Monash University, Melbourne, where he graduated with distinction along with a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore.

Natasha Qureshi is currently completing her Masters of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University on the Fulbright Scholarship. She did her Bachelors from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) where she majored in Computer Science. She also volunteers for the Association for the Development of Pakistan (www.DevelopPakistan.org), a volunteer-driven venture philanthropy organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of the poor, neglected and underprivileged of Pakistan by funding carefully selected development projects.

Salman Khalid completed his Master in Public Policy (MPP) with a concentration in International Finance & Entrepreneurship from Georgetown University where he studied on the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. In addition, he holds an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) where he graduated with distinction and was placed on the Dean’s Honor list. Salman has worked with The World Bank (WB) and Emerging Markets Partnership (EMP) in Washington D.C . He is currently working for Manara Equity Partners (MEP) in area of Private Equity and Venture Capital. Salman holds a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore and has an IEEE research publication apart from a Presidential Award in Physics.
