I am currently studying at LUMS, doing BSC honors. i want to transfer my credits abroad to at least a somewhat reputable university. My GPA is 2.5 so i know ivy leagues are out of the question. But NYU or Mcgill or something along those lines would be ideal. Could someone please guide me in this process? i am utterly confused as to how to go about it.

I need a Career Advice
Hi… I am living in Pakistan and working as a senior SEO, SMO and SMM analyst. I have an experience of about two years in this field. My certification of the web development is about to end after a month or two. How much I will be able to earn after my certification? right now I am earning 20,000 PKR.
My age is 21 and I am also doing the degree of BSCS which is supposed to be completed in 2013 but I am not giving proper time to studies and really worry about it. I want to know what is a suitable time to complete your degree their are total 8 semesters and I have passed only two.
And i don’t think that Iwill be able to complete it on the time or may be even to complete it because of the lack of time and the method of distance learning is not working for me.
So please tell me what should I do

New student visa laws in the UK? I’m confused
I am confused about the new visa laws in the UK. I am planning to start my MBA in Aug 2011 and I have been accepted into good schools in the UK and the US.
According to many articles the UK may end the post-study work visa. Has this been implemented? Does this mean it is almost impossible to work in the UK after I get my MBA from there?

MBA Finance or MBA Marketing?
I intend to do an MBA, but i’m really confused about the two fields. I’ll be completing my Bachelors with Double Majors in Finance & Marketing in about five months. Please let me know which MBA specialization is a more viable option in terms of the present market conditions and demand. Thank You!
ACCA from abroad- Worth it?
How would taking ACCA tuitions from U.K or any other country would be more beneficial than taking it from Pakistani Unis? As per my grasp, since it’s an international degree, no such matter from where ever you study. Nevertheless the lecturers and learning environment would be miles better abroad.
Also, if anyone can state the total cost of ACCA for 3 years (barring/excluding tuition fees)

I want to know about admission requirements for A.C.C.A program. I did B.Sc in Mathematics, Economics and Geography in 2007 from University of the Punjab with 48percent marks (Grade D).
Am I eligible to get admission in ACCA approved colleges in pakistan. I am 23 years old. I have two and half years experience as accounts assistant in Dubai’s local firm. Actually, i want to move back pakistan for A.C.C.A program. and please if any friend can tell approved colleges and institutes for A.C.C.A in Wah Cant and Islamabad.

Which universities in the US are likely to give full/partial funding for a MBA?
I do not intend to apply for the Fulbright because that funding comes with too many strings attached.
I was curious about which top 50 universities in the USA are likely to provide funding for MBA students with very high GMAT scores (700+)?

I was a student of grade 7th when my parents wanted me to be a Hafiz-e-Quran, for which I had to abandon my studies. Due to some financial and family issues back then, my academic career never came back on track. I tried to get back on track and gave three papers of O’ Levels, back in November 06. But wasn’t able to continue my studies. Now I want to continue my studies and a friend of mine, who currently lives in London, told me about the ACCESS TO HE course. I checked this course on the Internet & I found out that it’s a year’s program after which I can do BBA in business. I am willing to do this course as my financial background is strong now. LUMS SSE or MBBS
I have got admission in LUMS SSE this year. I have been granted an NOP scholarship. People around me tell me that it is madness to prefer a fundamental sciences education over MBBS because of job prospects. Now tell me, whether it is better to do BS from LUMS SSE or do MBBS from some government medical college in Punjab or NWFP? What are the job prospects after SSE education?
Since I did my FSc as a pre-med, I did not study Mathematics at this level. The curriculum of LUMS SSE contains Calculus durind freshman year. Do you think as a student there, I would be able to cope with the situation?

I have done BS in Electronic Engineering from Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology and I am really confused whether to do MS or MBA next. I know most people suggest that one should first get a job experience of at least 2 or 3 years but the problem is I am yet to find a job related to my field and of my interest. At present I am doing an entry level job of IT Assistant(not interested in IT) in a private firm actually it is more of an NGO. My search for a better job has remained futile and I am feeling that I am just wasting time and not gaining anything from my job. That’s why I am thinking its better to resume my education. My only worry is that after doing my MBA I may have a Masters degree but I won’t have any experience and it won’t be easy to get a job in an MNC or a Bank . The flip side is that, I think that an MS degree won’t help me at all unless its from a foreign university. In Pakistan there is no Electronic Industry and the only job for electronic engineers are in either heavy industry(in which I am least interested) or telecom sector and to an extent IT field ! They say if you want to remain on the technical side you should do MS and for the management side do MBA. What I want to know is that which will be a better degree MBA or MS in comparison, for me to get a job much faster and also earn me a good salary and help me move up the ladder ! Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Accreditation of LUMS SSE
Respected Sir/Madam,
I have got admission in LUMS SSE this year. Only 180 students out of more than 10000 students have been selected which is a big achievement for me but there is one problem. SSE opened last year and i will be a part of the second batch. LUMS SSE is not accredited by HEC yet. Everyone is saying that do not worry bout this because LUMS will get accredited very easily even in engineering field. Have you any idea whether SSE’s accreditation is under process?

What should I do with BBA at 27 yrs age?
I have recently done BBA 2yrs and got a job of financial data entry in a firm. Now I am thinking of doing MBA, but the problem is that I am already 27 yrs old. So do I have any chances at this age if I do MBA at 29? What would be best for me to do at this stage if I want to move ahead in my career. Please guide me in this regard. I shall be waiting for your advice!
UK visa delay
I have had my visa application approved and I had submitted my passport with all the relevant documents. It has almost been 3 months now since the date of submission, and my classes of ACCA in the UK are due to start in the next 4 week. I have tried everything from calling jerry’s in Islamabad, emailing them and even visiting them, but to no avail. I have no idea and I am extremely confused, if there is anyone out there who can advice me on what action I should take to resolve this headache I would be extremely grateful to you.
